Founded in 1958 by Alvin Ailey, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater continues to honor African American cultural heritage through modern dance. With over 235 works by 90 choreographers performed worldwide, the company remains a cultural leader. In 2021, it returned to the stage with a collaboration with jeweler Temple St. Clair, blending dance and design through portraits of three company dancers.
MY CONTRIBUTION
For this project, I supported the preparation and logistics for this campaign. My responsibilities included sourcing designer pieces from the Albright Fashion Library to curate a selection that aligned with the creative vision from Temple St. Clair. My involvement helped translate the creative vision into impactful images that honored both the dancers and the brand partnership.
