i-D Magazine’s Beta Issue featured Teyana Taylor on the cover in collaboration with TELFAR, highlighting the brand’s cultural impact and history. The issue included a 12,000-word oral history of TELFAR, tracing its journey from Lefrak City, Queens, to Liberia, and onto the global stage of Paris Fashion Week. Shot by Jason Nocito and styled with both archival and current TELFAR pieces, the cover and feature positioned TELFAR as a brand that consistently merges fashion with cultural storytelling.
For this project, I assisted with styling TELFAR’s new collections alongside archival pieces, preparing looks that balanced the brand’s history with its current direction. My responsibilities included managing inventory, organizing garment pulls, and incorporating unreleased samples to tease upcoming collections. I also managed a team of assistants, coordinating their tasks to keep the styling process and sample flow organized. This created visuals that complemented the oral history, tying together TELFAR’s past and future within the i-D feature in a cohesive way.
